Error-678

Generally Due to ADSL or LINK Lamp not glowing
It is most common problem .It is due to poor connectivity
either between exchange to modem or from modem to Computer
1. Switch Off/Switch On modem (Power switch at the back of modem) and wait for 2 minutes. Then retry.
2.If problem is still not solved then
(A) Check link lamp in modem if it is blinking then it is line problem then Book Complaint on 198 or 1500
(B) Check Modem to splitter connectivity.
i.) check splitter connections as per figure given below
ii.) If the lamp is still blinking then it is due to poor line condition/Underground Pair fault.
Error-691
User id & Password problem
Contact Server Room 12678, 2601666, 2224999, 2229420
NIB will reset the password & may reset port if needed
Error-769

This Problem can be due to any fault of LAN CARD of Computer
LAN Card not enabled
Check LAN connectivity using Click Startà Runà ping 192.168.1.1-t press Enter it should give reply if not then follow above proced:-
The LAN card has to be enabled by following steps:-
Go to desktopàRight click “My Network Place
à Select Propertiesà Right click on LAN & “Enable the local Area Connection.
OR
Click Start Menuà Control panel à Network Connections à Enable Local Area Connection 

Internet Explorer Shows Page Can not be displayed
If internet is connected & still there is a problem to access the internet, then it can be due to svchost, generic host, win 32, virus or spyware problems in windows OS.
1. Contact Your Computer vendor for checking virus in Windows or any other O.S.
2. Format the derive and re-installation of windows may help to clear the problem
3. Always ensure there should be a good firewall enabled & an reputed updated antivirus is installed.


Special Note:- There should be no parallel connections/PABX/EPABX before ADSL Splitter

IP Address:- 192.168.1.XXX (here XXX can be any no. from 2 to 254), Subnet Mask:- 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway 192.168.1.1

Preferred DNS:- 218.248.240.179 (for P2 System having default password:- bsnl123 or User id ends with ldh)
                         218.248.255.146  (for P3 System having default password:- password or User id ends with mpldh)

Alternate DNS:- 218.248.240.181 (for P2 System having default password:- bsnl123 or User id ends with ldh)
218.248.255.194                  (for P3 System having default password:- password or User id ends with mpldh)
